ISRO Recruitment 2026 Application Fee
The notification mentions an application fee of ₹100 for all posts along with a processing fee. Candidates initially have to pay the applicable processing fee while submitting the application.

The processing fee is refunded to candidates who appear in the Written Test/CBT. Women, SC/ST, PwBD and Ex-Servicemen candidates are eligible for full refund as per the notification. For other candidates, ₹100 application fee is deducted and the remaining processing fee is refunded.
ISRO Recruitment 2026 Vacancy Details, Eligibility and Qualification

Educational Qualification for Assistant and UDC
Candidates applying for Assistant or Upper Division Clerk posts should have a graduation degree from a recognised university with at least 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.32 on a 10-point scale. The graduation should have been completed within the stipulated duration of the course.
Candidates should also have proficiency in the use of computers.
Educational Qualification for JPA and Stenographer
For Junior Personal Assistant and Stenographer posts, candidates should have graduation with a minimum of 60% marks or CGPA of 6.32 on a 10-point scale.
Alternatively, candidates may have a Diploma in Commercial/Secretarial Practice with at least 60% marks or CGPA of 6.32.
For these posts, one year of experience as Steno-Typist/Stenographer, minimum English stenography speed of 60 words per minute and computer proficiency are also required.
In the case of candidates having Diploma in Commercial Practice or Diploma in Commercial and Computer Practice, the Apprenticeship Training Certificate issued by BOAT under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme is also considered equivalent to one year of experience as Steno-Typist/Stenographer.
ISRO Recruitment 2026 Age Limit
The maximum age limit is 28 years as on 16 August 2026.
For posts where reservation is applicable, the upper age limit is 31 years for OBC candidates and 33 years for SC/ST candidates. Other eligible categories such as serving government employees, Ex-Servicemen, PwBD candidates, meritorious sportspersons, widows, divorced women and certain judicially separated women may get age relaxation as per Government of India rules.

ISRO Recruitment 2026 Salary
Selected candidates will be appointed in Level 4 of the Pay Matrix. The minimum basic pay is ₹25,500 per month.
Apart from basic pay, candidates will also get applicable Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance and Transport Allowance. Other benefits mentioned in the notification include medical facilities, subsidised canteen, limited accommodation facility, Leave Travel Concession, group insurance and other benefits as per Central Government rules.
ISRO Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
The selection process will include a written examination followed by a skill test.
Candidates will first be assessed through the Written Test/CBT. Based on written test performance, candidates will be shortlisted for the Skill Test in a maximum ratio of 1:5 against the category-wise vacancies, with a minimum of 10 candidates.
For the final selection, candidates who qualify in the Skill Test will be considered on the basis of their marks in the Written Test. This means the Skill Test is qualifying in nature for the final merit.
The written test qualifying marks are 50% for UR candidates and 40% for reserved candidates against notified reserved vacancies.

The examination will be objective type. Each correct answer carries 1 mark and there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. The total duration is 150 minutes.

The exam duration is 150 minutes and the paper follows an objective pattern with +1 mark for a correct answer and -0.25 mark for an incorrect answer.
ISRO Recruitment 2026 Skill Test
The Skill Test is important for candidates shortlisted after the written examination.
For Assistant and UDC, the Computer Literacy Test covers MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint. The test has a total duration of 75 minutes.
For JPA and Stenographer, the Skill Test includes a Computer Literacy Test and Stenography Test.
For the Computer Literacy Test, the qualifying requirement is 60% for UR candidates and 50% for reserved candidates against notified reserved vacancies. For the Stenography Test, the maximum mistakes allowed are 10% for UR candidates and 12% for reserved candidates.
The Stenography Test includes a shorthand test of 300 words at 60 words per minute for 5 minutes, followed by transcription on computer within 30 minutes, with applicable compensation time for PwBD candidates.
