Bank of India SO Recruitment 2026: Bank of India has released a recruitment notification for Officers in various streams up to Scale IV under Project No. 2026-27/02. A total of 205 vacancies are available for Specialist Officer posts. The online application process will start from 10 September 2026.

Interested candidates can apply online up to 25 September 2026. The age and qualification will be considered as on 01 August 2026. The online examination date will be announced separately by the Bank.

Bank of India SO Recruitment 2026 Vacancy Details

A total of 205 Specialist Officer vacancies are available across different scales.

Posts include Chief Manager, Senior Manager, Manager, Officer, Law Officer, Fire Officer, Security Officer and Civil Engineer along with various technology and specialist posts.

Bank of India SO Recruitment 2026 Education Qualification

The educational qualification and experience are different for each post and are given in Annexure-I of the notification. Candidates must have the prescribed qualification for the particular post.

Where 60% marks are prescribed in educational qualification, SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates applying against reserved vacancies are eligible for 5% relaxation, meaning the minimum required marks will be 55%.

Bank of India SO Recruitment 2026 Age Limit

The age limit is different according to the post. Some important age limits are:

• Scale IV posts: 28 to 40 years or 28 to 42 years, depending on the post.
• Scale III posts: generally 28 to 37 years.
• Scale II posts: generally 25 to 35 years, with some posts having different limits.
• Scale I posts: generally 21 to 30 years.
• Civil Engineer: 25 to 30 years.

Age will be calculated as on 01 August 2026.

The selection will be through Online Examination and/or Personal Interview, depending on the number of applicants and eligible candidates.

If both Online Examination and Interview are conducted, the weightage will be:

• Online Examination: 60%
• Personal Interview: 40%

If the Online Examination is not conducted, final selection will be based on the Personal Interview.

Bank of India SO Recruitment 2026 Exam Pattern

The English Language test is qualifying in nature, and its marks will not be added to the merit list. The other tests will be available in English and Hindi.

Candidates have to secure the minimum qualifying marks in each test. For General/EWS candidates, the minimum qualifying marks are 35%. Reserved category candidates applying against relevant reserved vacancies get 5% relaxation.
